CoffeeCraze

The name of our game is Coffee Craze!

Narrative Structure

The goal of our game is to have our hero protect the town from the monsters by giving them what they really want: Coffee! Can you keep the thirsty monsters from ransacking your town?

Mechanics

Using the W A S D keys to move around, you need to throw coffee at the monsters using the mouse! They will pay you for your services, and you can use your coins in the shop to upgrade your coffee!

Aesthetics

We went for a pixelated medieval setting because we found a lot of cool assets that fit that theme.

I enjoyed this game quite a bit. It was nice to have numerous things to keep in mind while playing, which was the movement and throwing coffee. I also enjoyed the shop implement to make the game not get exponentially more difficult as time went on. I think good additions could be lowering a health bar as you come into contact with mobs, and a break between waves.

The concept and narrative of this game are fun. The coffee-throwing mechanic seems to be a little bit buggy, but the idea is still cool. It could be interesting to have more defined groups of moles coming at you, like in pairs/triplets, to make it harder.
